Saturday night was a great night! A friend and I caught up to do Jayne’s Cyber Challenge. We started a couple of hours after the first challenge was posted… so I only did 2 of the challenges… I did the first challenge which was a pink conversion of the card on page 123.

The next challenge I took up was the 3rd Challenge Jayne placed.

Watering Can
This was the first challenge I had ever participated in. It was lots of fun!

Wow, there were a few busy days leading up to the Fundraiser. It was well worth it. It was a huge success! Our team Rachel, Alison, Kara and Julie did an amazing job and put a considerable amount of effort into making the day such a success! Thank you Rachel, Alison, Kara and Julie!!!
We started the day off with some under the chair prizes and the Watoto DVD. This is a heart wrenching 5 minute dvd. Many ladies were moved to tears.
Here are a few pics from the day…

Busy making cards!

We devoted a table to Watoto

We wrote a personal note to the Women of Watoto! Our team are taking these notes with them today as they leave for Uganda. I am sure this will touch their lives.
We spiced the day up with door prizes being drawn throughout the day, and the final raffle at the end of the day.

Congratulations Lydia! Our first prize went to Lydia Hamilton, a young girl who came with her mother!
Donations were in abundance so we held 2 silent auctions!

The front of the auditorium showcasing Watoto and our silent auction.

Our silent auctions were fantastic! There were many donations of products and services for this great cause.

We couldn't help ourselves but jazz up the presentation of a couple of gift vouchers! Thanks Rachel!
A fantastic day with great participation!!
We raised over $1700.00 which is a tremondous achievement! Thank you to all the lovely ladies for your support! You all made this day a great success!!
Our thanks and appreciation to the following businesses for their generous support in our fundraising for Watoto Childcare Ministries:
Stampin’ Up!, Pillar Lawyers, Artistry, Country Interiors, Rachel Dalgleish Beauty and Makeup Services, Loganberry Lane, Chris Buckley Candles, Abcoe Bulk Food Warehouse, Sam’s Warehouse, Curves, Glenbrook Butcher, Blue Tongue Lizard Café, Glenbrook Garden Centre, Koorong Bookshop
A special mention and thank you to Stampin Up! If it wasn’t for Stampin’ Up! being committed to making a difference in communities and individuals’ lives wherever possible then this particular fundraiser may not have happened.
Thanks again. Keep Smiling!
Michele

Glenn and Christie, my brother/sister in laws had a candy bar for their Wedding that we all put together. It was a huge hit! At first no one wanted to touch it! It was a beautiful sophisticated wedding with a french influence surrounding the grounds… This elegant candy bar’s theme was white, beige and browns to tie in with the wedding colours. It was great fun!!!

Josh n Monique’s Wedding was a glorious day! We are soo excited for this young couple who were married on the weekend. We did this candy bar for their wedding. It had a fun young-at-heart theme with the multi-coloured lollies (primarily staying with the cream and blue style). It was fantastic watching the older generation at the candy bar… It seemed to take them back to their childhood… going to the lolly shop with their penny to spend…. and not being able to decide what to get.
It was a fun time and there were no lollies left!!!

The last party (for a while) was a Reptile Party for a prep-school friend, Jacob. I saw on Splitcoast this cute croc box. So since the focus was reptiles I thought I would give this a go… here is mine. I added a punch art fish on the end of the line.

My launch party for the new Idea Book & Catalogue was a little late this time round, Our baby was born around this time. So I have not long ago had it. It was a great night, we made the funky forest card and the perfect plum card using Organic Grace out of the catalogue (page 17) and a variation of the square Winter Post card (page 33) in the Idea Book & Catalogue. A little gift was flower punch art lollipops and these nappy fold bags with a choccie in it.
